According to London Police, a women is charged after an armed robbery over the weekend.
On Saturday around 10:30 p.m. , a man was working at the convenience store when a female entered the store. The women was wearing a mask, but had her hood pulled over her head. The woman then approached the front counter holding a gun and demanding money from the employee.
The women then left the area with money obtained. That’s when London Police were contacted, and a description of the person was provided to officers.
At around midnight, the women was located and was arrested. A replica firearm was seized by police.
51-year old Karen Elizabeth Richardson, of London, is charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
- Armed robbery;
- Pointing a firearm;
- Disguise with intent;
- Carry concealed weapon; and
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
There were no reported injuries. The accused is scheduled to appear in a London court today by way of video.
