After announcing funding for after – school programs, Monday morning, Liberal leader Justin Trudeau made an appearance at Blessed Sacrament School in London, Ontario.
The leader attended the campaign with Liberal candidates Kate Young, riding from London West and Peter Fragiskatos representing London North Centre.
The set up for the campaign was a classroom with a rocking chair for Trudeau to sit and read a story to the young students.
When asked by the teacher, who is Justin Trudeau? “He is the boss of Canada” replied the youngsters.
Trudeau engaged with the kids and asked them if they were ready to read a book with him.

While reading the book ‘Why I love Canada’ to the young students, he discussed about the country’s position in sports, appreciating Bianca Andreescu’s (Tennis player) world ranking and Toronto Raptor’s winning in the NBA. He also deliberated about Canada’s linguistic and cultural diversity.
Later the leader recorded a message for the students wishing them a great school year ahead.
“Every new school year is a fresh start, so try something new. Join a sports team or club, help the students of younger grades, volunteer and help the community,” the leader said.
He also asked the students to love and respect their teachers.
“I was a teacher and I know how teachers work hard on the students,” he said.
Trudeau is third in line after NDP leader Jagmeet Singh and Maxime Bruniea to pick London as a campaigning stop in southwestern Ontario.
