This Winter we have seen a fair share of good weeks and bad weeks for weather. As the last week of February is upon us, mother nature has decided to give us some tougher weather to deal with. It all began late Sunday night, the Toronto and London region was hit with strong wind conditions. Today the Toronto region has seen many school boards cancel buses, meanwhile London is currently seeing some of the snow that Toronto had overnight.
According to multiple reports highway 400 near Barrie is currently closed due to a vehicle pile up of almost 70 vehicles. Emergency crews are on scene to get the traffic moving. The Barrie Fire Department is also on scene as there was a diesel spill reported and that is now contained.

With poor weather conditions like these, the OPP is reminding every one to keep a safe distance between vehicles in front of you, to drive according to road conditions, and to obey the speed limit at all times.
Right now Environment Canada also has a blowing snow advisory in affect for the London region, advising that visibility could be poor while driving.
