You can find all three, and more, during a visit to the London Bicycle Café.
The shop has been open since the summer of 2017, but this weekend will bring the grand opening. On Saturday, March 24, the Clarence Street café will be open for Londoners to come and explore the unique space.
Ben Cowie is the owner of the London Bicycle Café and is looking forward to seeing who comes out on Saturday. “We’ve got a lot of different things going on, there will be live music, cargo bike training, we’ll also have free coffee and lots of door prizes.”
When customers walk in, they can find a vibrant coffee bar and seating, which is lined with custom bicycles and even paintings of bicycles.
“When you walk in the front door, you’re going to find the wonderful espresso bar, and then you can wander up into the back and see the bikes – it’s an inviting atmosphere to come and check out a new
bike.”
All of the bikes that Cowie’s store sells are bikes that are designed for getting around the city. With such a comfortable ride, the café wants to encourage Londoners to start doing their errands, groceries, and everyday adventures on a bike.
“We want to encourage the people of London to get on a bike and ride it everyday. We’ve got the bikes, as well support and expertise to help you do that. Plus they look really cool too. We hope that when you come in you can picture yourself on one of these bikes.”
The London Bicycle Café has been helping customers break down the barriers that prevent them from riding a bike. Cowie and his team make an effort to find the ideal bike for each and every customer.
Ultimately, they always have one specific goal in mind.
“We want to help you rediscover how much fun it can be to ride a bike in the city.”
