The London Police Service (LPS) is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying three suspects involved in a weapons-related incident that took place last Friday, January 17, 2025. The suspects are believed to have approached two employees in the area of Spanner and First streets.
At approximately 6:40 p.m. on January 17, three masked men approached two employees as they were leaving a business. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded that the employees take them back inside the building. A brief interaction occurred between one of the employees and one of the suspects before all three individuals fled on foot.
No physical injuries were reported during the incident. LPS officers, including members of the Uniformed Division and Canine Unit, quickly responded to the scene, but the suspects were not located.
The case has since been reassigned to the LPS Street Crime Unit for further investigation. Investigators are working to identify the suspects and have released detailed descriptions.
The first suspect is a male wearing dark pants, a black jacket with the hood up, black gloves, and white shoes. The second suspect is also male, wearing dark pants, a black jacket with the hood up, blue surgical gloves, black shoes, and carrying a backpack. The third suspect is male as well, wearing a black puffer winter jacket with the hood up, dark pants, white shoes, black gloves, and also carrying a backpack.
The LPS is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who was in the area of Spanner and First streets, or near Highbury Avenue North and Dundas Street, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on January 17, 2025, to come forward.
