London Police Services (LPS) have arrested a man in relation to call involving threats and weapon investigation on July 2nd. At 6:30 am in the area of Emery Street West and Highwood Avenue, a resident noticed an unknown man asleep in the drivers side of a running vehicle.
As the homeowner approached the vehicle, the man awoke and began to yell at the owner. The suspect threatened the homeowner with an alleged firearm before attempting to hit the resident with his car damaging the residents car and house in he process.
The suspect then fled in the area in his vehicle and was apprehended by LPS shortly after. upon investigating, LPS recovered a black BB gun from the suspect and was charged with the following offenses:
- Assault with a weapon;
- Uttering threats/death or bodily harm;
- Pointing a firearm;
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle;
- Impaired operation of a conveyance; and,
- Failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
The suspect remains in custody.
