The Fanshawe Men’s Basketball team is the opposite of their Female counterparts. While the Women’s team is on a losing streak, the Men’s team has won two games in a row. The team’s current record is 3-4. Their losses have been in close games that could have gone either way. Capitalizing on those opportunities is essential, but Fanshawe’s record does not display their team’s skill.
Fanshawe’s offense has been red hot, scoring almost 90 points per game. Dante Richards led the offense, scoring over 19 points per game. The ball sharing has also been a critical reason the Falcons have been so good on offense as four players are averaging three or more assists per game.
The defensive side of the ball is where the Falcons have run into some problems. No players have been able to average over ten rebounds per game. The Falcons have also averaged 23 turnovers, and keeping possession of the ball is a must. To maintain the win streak, the defensive side of the ball will need to step it up.
Fanshawe will have the opportunity to extend their win streak today against Sheridan. Sheridan won their most recent game, and they have a record of 3-4. Sheridan so far has shown their defense can be a strength for them. This should make for an exciting game. The game gets started tonight at 8:00 PM EST.
