With the new Covid-19 restrictions limiting in person gatherings to 5 people the Fanshawe Student Union has had to make changes to there events to work around these new restrictions. Kevin Masterson the events and activities manager of the Fanshawe Student Union explains the one change that they had to make.

Audio Player“We did have a whole, a blended program set with online and in person, but now you know in person is not an option. So, for now we’re going to do all online and then as the regulations get pulled back a little bit, we will add more in person events as we can”.
Kevin knows that because all events will have to be online student engagement might be and an issue however, he has a plan for that.

Audio Player“Well, you have to make the online event exciting and we make our events interactive and that really helps so that if we have a game show, we can have students play in London, live and we can also have students from all around the world. We make them interactive so, that the students can participate as the events going on, as well as having events that are just fun you know, like events that students want to see”.
