The Canada men’s national soccer team is set to face Costa Rica and Mexico in crucial World Cup qualifiers on Nov 12th and 16th respectively. Canada will host both games at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton. Canada is currently third in the octagonal qualifier table, Mexico leads the table and Costa Rica is fifth with only four points behind Canada. The first three qualify directly for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Most of the excitement for the upcoming matches is around Ike Ugbo, The 23 years old striker who has chosen to represent Canada ahead of Nigeria.

Head coach John Herdman says, ” Ike is an exciting prospect… with his best years ahead of him. In the conversations, I have had with him and his people, they are expecting him to have a big season towards the end of this season and next year.” Herdman also revealed that he tried to get Ike to play for Canada in 2018 but that did not work out.
The Canada men’s national soccer team has already sold more than 40,000 tickets each for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers games against Costa Rica and Mexico in Edmonton.
