Fanshawe Men’s Soccer team season came to end after a quarter final defeat on Saturday. The team lost 3-2 to George Brown college in extra time, conceding two goals in the second half of extra time.
I would say overall it was disappointing because even though we had a strong season, I felt we underachieved… just about the outcome, I didn’t feel like we got to where we needed to get to to say we had a successful season,” said head coach, Rob Pereira, on Fanshawe Men’s Soccer team season.
There are some positives to take from the season for the men’s soccer team, The Falcons conceded no goals in the regular season and it was also individually a great season for some players. Mike Sneddon ranks third in the goalscoring chart with seven goals and Ryan Baker has most assists (6) in the OCAA competition.
Coach Pereira believes the team will be looking forward to getting back together during the upcoming indoor soccer season and that there will be motivation to take away from the quarterfinal loss.
