Environment Canada has issued a Blowing Snow Warning for London, Parkhill, and Eastern Middlesex County. The warning will be in effect from Monday morning until the evening. Strong winds, reaching 40 km/h with gusts up to 60 km/h, will cause blowing snow and poor visibility, making driving dangerous.
Additionally, an Extreme Cold Warning is in effect, with wind chill values expected to reach near minus 30 tonight into Tuesday morning.
What to Expect:
- Snow will blow and drift, making it hard to see.
- Roads may be covered in snow, which could make them slippery and tough to drive on.
- Extreme cold temperatures and wind chill will put everyone at risk, especially young children, older adults, and people with chronic illnesses.
Safety Tips:
- Drive slower and keep extra space between cars.
- Be ready for sudden stops or changes in traffic.
- If possible, avoid driving during the worst part of the storm.
However, Cleaning crews are already out, working to clear roads and sidewalks conditions after the recent storm. Drivers are advised to take their time and travel safely.
