Global Entrepreneurship Week is celebrated around the world to inspire and connect entrepreneurs, especially those who face challenges in starting their businesses.
Fanshawe College took part in Global Entrepreneurship Week with events organized by Leap Junction, the college’s entrepreneurship center. The goal was to inspire students and alumni to explore business ideas and develop skills to start their own businesses.
Workshops were hosted to encourage creative thinking and problem-solving. April, a co-op student at Leap Junction, explained, “ This week, we celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week with workshops to help students think creatively and critically, and a pop-up market to support small businesses run by our students and alumni,”.
A student entrepreneur shared how Leap Junction helped them, “They gave me tools, guidance, and resources to do things the right way. It’s been a huge help,”.
One of the attendees at the event shared their thoughts, “Seeing what other have achieved really inspired me to think about starting my own business someday and with the right support, anything is possible,”.
This showed how support and resources can help students turn their ideas into real businesses.
