If you are stressing about what to do with your kids for PA Days, The City of London offers single-day PA Day programs. For school-age children, the city of London offers single-day PA Day programs throughout the year starting today.
“So we run pad programs at the city that align with the schedules of the Thames Valley District School Board and the London District Catholic school board as well. So give or take, we have about one a month this upcoming pa day. We have four different locations running.”
Francesca Gable is the Supervisor of Recreation Services and Neighbourhood Operations and says the program is a valuable resource for parents who are unable to stay home with their children during the day.
“We like to offer that opportunity for childcare when the kiddos aren’t in school, and for families who aren’t able to be home with them during that day off. They can bring their kids to camp, and we can take care of them and engage in some fun stuff with them” Francesca said.
“This good for parents and guardians Because it does give them that peace of mind that their kiddos are being taken care of and are having fun in a safe environment.”
The programs provide a variety of activities designed to keep kids engaged and active.
“We have active activities in our gym spaces, arts and crafts, and lots of opportunities for making friends and creatively trying new things,” Francesca said.
Francesca spoke about how it gives staff an opportunity on their days off of school as well to hang out with other children and have some fun.
