This year, the London Community Temple prepares for a joyous Diwali celebration focused on light conquering darkness and community & collective unity. It will start with Diya lighting at 5:00 PM, where local residents and students would gather to light candles and lamps in the spirit of peace, joy, and cultural understanding.
It will be a special Diwali, where one can exchange and indulge in delicacies, share local traditions with stories as well as gather for the needy. It is now reported that the Hindu and Sikh communities are joining hands to crown their generosity by supplying blankets, jackets and food so that people do not have to suffer during these cold months.
The safety of all attendees is paramount to the event. Everything possible has been done to provide a safe space for citizens and visitors to celebrate. Accordingly, this year firecrackers have been banned totally, citing safety and environmental reasons.
