The City of London has invited Londoners to vote for Neighbourhood Decision Making 2024.
“It’s a unique opportunity that gives Londoners the choice on how to spend a portion of municipal budget in their neighborhoods,” says Sabrina Sater, coordinator for the City of London Neighbourhood and Community-Wide Services.
The list is compiled of ideas submitted by people in London about how neighbourhoods and parks around the city can be improved. Some of the ideas include things like new playgrounds, basketball courts, outdoor exercise equipment, and planting trees.
“Londoners know their neighborhoods best. They live in the area, they understand the needs, they use their parks, they connect with their residents, and they have a good sense of what their community needs,” says Sater.
Voting is open until Saturday, November 9th at 8 p.m. so you can voice your opinion on what ideas should be chosen.
Voting is available online or in person at the following locations:
- Boyle Memorial Community Centre
- Hamilton Road Seniors’ Community Centre
- Kiwanis Seniors’ Community Centre
- Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre
- North London Optimist Community
- Stronach Community Recreation Centre
