London Police Services are investigating a hate motivated assault that took place. Investigators with the Hate Crime Unit were able to obtain a photo of the suspect that is in relation to the current ongoing investigation.
Suspect in Hate Motivated Assault
According to London Police, On Saturday, October 27, 2024, around 3:30 p.m., a man was enjoying time with his family in a park near King and Thames streets when the unidentified man approached them.
The suspect reportedly directed derogatory remarks at the man before physically assaulting him. After the incident, the suspect lingered in the area for about 20 minutes before departing the park on an e-bike.
The investigation was reassigned to London Police’s Hate Crime Officer and has been determined to be hate-motivated. Investigators are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity to contact the London Police Service.
