The morning of September 27th was a big day for the Asian market known as T&T , as they opened there doors for the first official time.
People Lined up around the block, some waiting in line for 2 hours to be the first to get in and get as many products as possible. The store is located on Oxford and Wonderland and is about 3,620 square meters (39,000 square feet).
The store features many Chinese, Korean and Japanese options and have fresh made baked goods, seafood, and other ready to go meals as well.
XFM news reporters visited the store this morning and spoke to two customers who would like to remain anonymous and asked them if they were excited to have an Asian grocery store in London?
One of the customers said “yeah, I think it’s super exciting. I talked to all my friends about it. I went to come here to line up like 30 minutes 45 minutes before the store actually opened up to try and get a discount.”
Another customer that was shopping said “we’ve been looking forward for to it for a while, we grew up in the Toronto area, and there was TNT there so we’ve been kind of waiting for it to come to town and we went once it was announced. We kept it on our radar and we were kind of waiting for the opening day.”
The man continued to say ” We waited in line for an hour and 20 minutes and are enjoying it.” The man referring to himself and his wife waiting for hours just to get in and see the new store.”
The opening was a hit for the store and many people in London of many different origins and cultures came together to shop and see the new market.
