The London Health Sciences Centre have released a media statement saying that the Board of Directors will be voluntarily stepping down, and appointing CEO of Windsor Regional Hospital David Musyj as supervisor.
LHSC released a media statement earlier today with a letter from Musyj addressing the employees who had stepped down.
“I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the full LHSC Board of Directors who have made the decision to voluntarily step down from their positions of the need for a fresh path for LHSC under new leadership.”
The short statement from Musyj finished with more information about the board, and the goal LHSC now has moving forward.
“The Board has shared their gratitude to Team LHSC for their continued commitment to our patients and this community. They offer their full support of this appointment to Supervisor and LHSC’s path toward sustainable information.”
“This decision allows LHSC to move forward confidently under the guidance of a supervisor, ensuring that the focus remains on ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered in our community.”
XFM News reached out to LHSC for further comments, and said the media was not taking any interviews at the time.
This decision comes just after a legacy donor had claimed the past Board of Directors had made ‘bizzare and costly’ choices within the centre.
