Budweiser Gardens announced on Friday that beginning September 27th, People will no longer be able to pay for items with cash at the arena.
Budweiser Gardens made a statement saying, “Instead, all transactions within the arena will be processed through credit/debit cards and mobile payment methods, including Apple Pay and Google Wallet. This shift is designed to expedite the payment process, reduce wait times, and offer a more secure transaction environment.”
XFM news went to the streets of downtown London and interviewed Locals who would like to remain anonymous, and ask them how they feel about this change?
One person said “I feel like it’s a good thing just because like me personally, I don’t carry around cash or anything like that, and I know a lot of people don’t, especially in this generation”.
This person said the changes where a good thing, but another local did not share the same view saying, “Everyone has limits, sometimes like especially kids that go there, like teenagers some parents put limits on their cards, and I feel like you should still be able to pay cash with that.”
This new change is bringing mixed feelings and opinions in the community. One side saying its a good change because not a lot of people use cash. And another saying it is a worse change rather then good because they believe people still use cash.
