To start the season the Fanshawe Falcons men’s volleyball came into the season ranked number two in the country with very high expectations. Now halfway through the season Fanshawe has managed to reach another level of play by reaching number one in the country and setting even higher expectations for themselves.
Fanshawe started their season five and zero. and only dropping a total of 3 sets over those 5 games. Then came their toughest challenge yet facing off against the Mohawk Mountaineers with a tight back and forth game that went to a fifth and final set that the Moutaineers took by two points. Ending the perfect season for the falcons however they bounced back cruising to a victory over Conestoga.
Despite the loss Fanshawe is still ranked number one in the country Talking with Alain Pineault a player for Fanshawe on what the high rank means to them in the locker room he said
Fanshawe knows where they are, and they know the level in which they need to play at to achieve success. Fanshawe looks to maintain their high level of play to finish out the season and they have many aspirations to accomplish by the end of the year.
