Start.ca Rock the Park is coming back to London this July after a two year halt due to COVID-19. The three day festival will span from July 13th to July 16th at Harris Park.
It’s an event that Brad Jones, president of the Jones Entertainment Group is thrilled about. “Most Canadian musicians and bands have not been able to perform at all over the last two years. So when we have world class entertainment right in our own country, we just felt this was the time more than ever to get four of the best rock acts together on one night, put them on the same stage down at Start.ca Rock the Park and have one big party.”
Jones and many others can agree that people are ready to get outside and have fun again. “I think people are still nervous with the COVID situation, and being outside gives them a little bit more relief,” says Jones. “So yeah, we’re excited to be the first to launch and say Rock the Park is back.”
Wednesday’s acts have already been announced with Alanis Morissette headlining. “Those tickets are already on sale and have been selling very, very well. We anticipate a sellout for that night,” says Jones. “We’ve rolled out a Thursday rock night, and our Friday retro 90s night has been on sale now for two years. It’s sold very well. Most people kept their tickets the last two years, which is amazing and shows the loyalty to the brand.”
