Mission Thrift Store, a non-profit organization fully dependent on donations, will expand to a second London location on Wharncliffe Road South.
The first store is located in North London on Hyde Park Road and has been serving the community for over a decade.
Mission Thrift Store London is part of a chain of 50 plus store across Canada, the first store opened in 1988 in British Colombia.
“Our mission is to support our local and broader communities, we have core values that we uphold in the community as well, and what that means to us here is that we support lots of different organizations,” said Jonelle Mace, general manager of Mission Thrift Store London.
Mission Thrift Store has been working with numerous London charity organizations including- Youth Opportunities Limited, Hutton House and The Salvation Army.
They have contributed to causes like job support, literacy programs, prison ministries, church plans and children after school plans.
It was difficult for Mission Thrift Store to carry out expansion plans during the pandemic but support from community gave them belief and confidence.
