Today is election day! Millions of Canadians are casting their polls to help decide which party will rule our government. First polls opened in Newfoundland at 8:30am local time (11:00 GMT), Eastern time at 9:30am, Central time at 8:30am, Saskatchewan and Mountain time at 7:30am and Pacific time 7Am.
Over 27 million Canadians are eligible to vote, says Elections Canada.
According to Global News, about 7 million Canadians have already voted, most of those Canadians voting through the advanced polling on September 10th to the 13th.
Justin Trudeau called an early elections in hopes of winning the most seats in Parliament. Trudeau is receiving hate for calling a vote during a pandemic in order to hold his power.
CBC’s Poll Tracker shows that Liberals and Conservatives are currently tied for runner up as of right now.

It seems that all parties have an action plan against climate crisis, however, certain parties are taking more deliberate actions.
Here are things to remember when you go to vote today.
- Bring your voter information card with you, along with photo ID
- Wear a mask!
- Bring your own pen or pencil to mark your ballot.
