This Thursday, Western University will be honouring alumni Madiha Salman, Salman Afzaal and their family who were victims of the targeted Muslim van attack last month.
Back on Sunday, June 6th, their family was out for a walk when they were intentionally struck by a man in a pickup truck on the corner of Hyde Park Road and South Carriage Road.
Police said the family members were targeted because of their Muslim faith and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called the attack “an act of hatred and terror.”
The remembrance ceremony will be held tomorrow, July 29th, from 1 to 2 p.m. on ZOOM. The link can be found below:
