The city of Bayfield is getting ready for the shoot of the Action-thriller movie Trigger Point. The movie stars Canadian actor Berry Pepper and Colm Feore and filming starts Monday, in the Lake Huron community.
The movie director Brad Turner, lives in Bayfield for a part of the year and attended school in London at H.B. Beall.
Trigger Point which is the first in a planned series, will count on Vancouver native Berry pepper playing the role of Nicholas Shaw a retired U.S. special operative, who gets pushed back into the world of crimes and murders.
Pepper is well-known for his work in Saving Private Ryann, The Green Mile, and True Grit. He also won an Emmy award for his role as Bobby Kennedy, in the miniseries The Kennedys.
Feore, Trigger Point’s co-star, who is a Stratford resident, has performed at the Stratford Festival and is another southwestern Ontario connection to the movie. He is currently starring in the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy.
Trigger Point will be filming this coming week in Bayfield, before moving production to Hamilton.
The movie that is planned to release in 2021, is being produced by High Park Entertainment, and Landmark Studio group, which are both Canadian companies.
Recently, Southwestern Ontario has become popular for television and film productions. Earlier this month Netflix series Locke and Key filmed some of the second season of the show in Port Stanley. DC superstar Jason Momoa best known for Aquaman has been in the Hamilton area earlier this year filming the second season of the Apple TV series See.
Trigger Point marks an increase in the area’s economic development. It is the first time a major motion picture has been filmed in Bayfield, that counts with a population of around 1,100.
