London Police have issued a warning for parents to immediately check their children’s Halloween candy.
Officials say the warning comes after a teenage boy found a razor in a small chocolate bar he received while trick-or-treating Thursday, October 31, 2019.
The youth said it was collected in the Wortley Village area, however the exact location is unknown.
Police say the areas where the trick-or-treater may have received the chocolate bar are on streets between Wortley Road, Langarth Street East, Wharncliffe Road South, and Victor Street.
Police advise parents to inspect all Halloween candy that your children bring home, and to contact police immediately if anything suspicious occurs.
The youth who found the razor was not injured.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with further information is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
