The company Swoop has announced today that it will begin serving Londoners with daily new flights.
The airport’s chief executive, Mike Seabrook says the movement at London International Airport will not be the same anymore and will increase 50% to 60% this year.
“People looking to fly to the Vancouver area, Edmonton and Halifax will soon have more opportunities to do it.”
He also says that they are focused on being the ‘Easy and Comfortable’ airport and Swoop’s new service is a perfect fit.
The company, which belongs to WestJet, will start to operate in April.
Airport traffic increased by 3% in 2018, in comparison to 2017, with a total of 536,000 passengers. With the addition of Swoop, total passengers for 2019 are expected to almost double.
Seabrook believes the new service will increase the number of passengers between 750,000 and 800,000.
“Service to Edmonton will begin April 28th, and service to Abbotsford and Halifax beginning May 24th.”
He adds that the daily flights to Edmonton, Abbotsford, and Halifax will be operated with 189 seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The flight schedule includes daily service to Edmonton and Abbotsford, and service to Halifax only six days a week.
