Fanshawe’s vollleyball teams both lost heart breakers to the Humber Hawks. The women lost in four, while the men lost in five, but were up two sets. Head coach for the men Patrick Johnston told the guys they need to cut down the errors, that they’re playing too good of teams right now.
“At this point in the season we’re only playing against high quality teams. That little two percent matters, you need to be right on point every time, you can’t be two percent late or two percent slow.”
The women’s team will miss the playoffs but head coach Sean Pellow is very excited for next season.
“The fact that with this group, the inexperience, we’re taking sets off teams like Humber . We’re starting to play at that higher level that we were looking for.”
The men still have to wait for their next opponent but Johnston ensures everyone, that the team has short memories and they have already forgotten the loss.
